Ellisville Music Academy is now open. It’s in a great location, with large teaching rooms, a spacious, well-equipped area for band and ensemble rehearsals, and all the gear to do live, multitrack recording.

A place like this was sorely needed in the local community.  Recent changes in the local music  teaching community have left so many students, educators and parents scrambling to find a place in which to comfortably teach, learn and study music.  Now we all have a new place to call home.

The studio is located at 16021 Manchester Rd in the heart of Ellisville (Between Silky’s Frozen Custard and City Hall)

The project was founded by Mike Murphy, a long-time teacher and performer in the area, who taught for eighteen years at Mozingo Music along with some shorter stays at Monte's Music School an Ernie Williamson Music.

EMA was designed by teachers and students, for teachers and students. So if you are an independent music educator  looking for a conveniently located studio, a place to rehearse bands and ensembles, the freedom to teach 24/7, and the ability to keep most what you earn, get in touch. We’re here to help you build your business.

If you are a student interested in guitar, bass, drums/ percussion, voice, violin, cello, piano/keyboards, ukulele, flute or saxophone (with more to be announced) contact us soon to get started.

In addition to private lessons, we’re conducting eight week band camps that culminate in exciting performances at local music venues.
All ages are invited and encouraged. Our band camp members range in age from 14 - 75.
